Impressive Witcher 3 Mod Restores Kaer Morhen to Its Ancient Glory

A new Witcher 3 mod lets players experience Kaer Morhen as it was in its prime. The mod repairs the broken walls, towers, ramparts, and the inside of the keep as well. No longer will Geralt, Lambert, and Eskel return to a decaying relic—they can now rest and train in a fully revitalized keep.

Made by modder OlivierR45455566465, “Kaer Morhen Restored To Its Ancient Splendor” is truly a massive work of art. He suggests that players activate the mod after the Battle of Kaer Morhen to avoid any potential issues.

Kaer Morhen became a ruin after a fanatical mob attacked the fortress years ago, slaughtering all but Vesemir. Since then, the keep has stood in ruins—until now.

With the mod, you can walk the halls of a Kaer Morhen that looks and feels as it did before that tragic siege. Like many exciting recent mods, this one was made with the help of the official REDkit modding tool.

The mod creator is constantly updating his work and is currently on version 1.4, where he focused on fixing the keep’s second floor and making other improvements. The mod already looks amazing, so I’m excited to see what it will look like in the final version.

One example of the changes between the vanilla and modded Kaer Morhen.
